The Merry Wives of Windsor (Assistant Director)
by William Shakespeare. Directed and abridged by Joe Leat. The Station, Bristol. February 2025
The Merry Wives of Windsor sweeps you away to a Cornish seaside town, where Sir John Falstaff has got his eye on the wives of two of the community’s wealthiest and well to do gents. Not ones to suffer fools gladly, the streetwise wives orchestrate a series of comical schemes and pranks to humble our hapless knight.
“Julie’s suggestions and decisions were spot on, particularly in moments like the comedic scenes and the clarity of the play’s resolutions. Julie brought a calm and measured presence, always in tune with the actors’ needs and sensitivities”
